On Sunday 22nd Jan Kevin Chen will be conducting a full day life drawing workshop.
The workshop is a once-off special event for Melbourne.
This will be for anyone who wants to learn more about the human form, proportion, structure and design. Kevin will work from a live model as well as give out an instructional lecture/notes.

About Kevin Chen: Kevin's life drawing workshops are heralded worldwide, he is founder and instructor of the Concept Design Academy, located in Pasadena California which is regularly attended by professionals from all around the globe. Kevin has been instructing classes and professional workshops for various schools and studios during the past 12 years.

9 Week Tutored Drawing Course
This is a nine-week tutored course that combines meditation and drawing. 'Awakening The Eye' is about exploring different ways of seeing; it is about learning to Be Present in your drawing.

Awakening The Eye has been running continuously at Linden gallery since 1992 and is suitable both for absolute beginners and for the practising artist & designer, as it is about extending our capacity to see more clearly, to see more profoundly. It is presented & coordinated by Anselm van Rood, a practising artist and experienced lecturer.

Drawing for Beginners 8 WEEK Course
THURSDAYS 7.00 - 9:30PM
Cost: $360 All Materials Included
This program will examine the principles of still life, life drawing and portraiture. You will explore a variety of methods, techniques, and media. The course aims to develop your understanding of, and skills in, drawing from observation.

Introduction to Painting 8 WEEK Course
SATURDAYS 1.00 - 3:30PM
Cost: $390 All Materials Included
This course aims to give students a broad introduction to the painting process to facilitate their own personal pursuits.. It includes instruction in basic colour theory, principles of colour mixing, and the preparation of painting surfaces.

Art Discovery - Tutored Life Drawing
An 8 Week Course
Learn how to understand the nude figure and translate your observations into articulate and complete drawings. Students will study scale, proportion and perspective, tone, and light and shade using materials that may include charcoal, pencil, ink and acrylic paint.

This course is designed for people who really want to create drawings from truthful observation rather than from mental perceptions. Excellent for beginners and intermediate students. All materials provided.

Art Energy Studio Untutored Life Drawing

In my Studio/Lounge you can draw for fun or refine your skills while focusing on the Life Model, using either an easel, table or relax on the couch. Come join in with a group of talented artist's and be inspired in a friendly atmosphere.
Tutoring and stock is available if required. Short and extended poses. Tea, coffee and biscuits supplied.

Melbourne Studio of Arts is dedicated to providing a creative space that encourages artistic growth in a relaxing and inspirational environment. Each Thursday MSA will open its door for an untutored life drawing class.

This class is designed for people who really want to create drawings from truthful observation rather than from mental perceptions. Students provide their own materials. Art supplies can be purchased at Untitled Art Supplies shop located above MSA.
