MLD Model Profile FAQ

How does the MLD model profile work?
* Your MLD profile information will appear on the MLD MODELS page based on information you supply to market your modelling services to potential clients (art educators, artists and session coordinators)
* Clients can contact you via email or phone and you can organise modelling with them directly.
* MLD does not act as an agent or collect agency fees for bookings you make.

What will the MLD listing cost me?

Basic Listing (Valid for 6 MONTHS):
1. LMS Members $45.00 (discount applies to all CURRENT members of the Life Models Society)
2. NON-LMS Models $55.00

How long is my profile listed on the site for ?

* The Basic Model Profile listing is valid for 6 months, after which time the profile can be renewed for continued exposure to MLD visitors and newsletter subscribers.

* A Feature Model Gallery is valid for 12 months.

Can I suspend my listing if I am unavailable due to travel or other commitments?

Yes. Should a model become unavailable throughout the year, listings may be suspended (removed from the site) for up to 6 months only. When advised by you, MLD will reactivate your listing to pick up where you left off.

What is included in the Basic Listing Fee?
1. Inclusion on the MLD profile listing for 6 months, complete with your choice of contact method (email or phone) and links to your own site if you have one
2. Inclusion of an image thumbnail and one large image for clients to review before hiring
3. The option to include, edit or change your profile image or personal details as required throughout the activation period.

4. Exposure to all venue hosts, artists and art educators visiting Melbourne Life Drawing (the site has just topped an average of 1,200 visits per month)
5. An newsletter announcements introducing you to all MLD subscribers - including your profile details and contact number and or email
6. Online announcements & links to your model profile through MLD's Facebook and Twitter networks

Do I need to have a profile image..?
An image IS required for all MLD profiles. MLD recommends you provide a 3/4 or full length photo of yourself. Only one image is required. If submitting nude or semi-nude photos MLD will confirm if the image is suitable for publishing on the site (discreet, artist nude shots are the way to go).

Note: Photos displayed on the main profile page MUST have been taken within the last 2 YEARS.

*Please ensure you have permission or license from the copyright owner of the work or image before submitting it with your MLD model application.

What image format should I send MLD?
You have the option to upload an image at the time of applying, or you can email one through later to info@melbournelifedrawing.com (max 6MB image file size).

Please send your image through to me using one of the following formats: *.JPEG, *.JPG, or *.PNG

What experience or background is required for an MLD profile?
* MLD will only list trained or suitably experienced models.
* All models on the Life Models Society (LMS) list qualify for an online profile.
* People not on the LMS list must provide a reference or a contact name and phone number to confirm modelling experience - this can be from a venue, artist group or individual artist.

Can I update/change or delete my profile details?
Yes just email info@melbournelifedrawing.com and if it's a minor change MLD will do this free of charge if your profile is active.

What about my privacy?
MLD can include as much or as little of your contact information as you prefer. You may include either your own email (perhaps even set one up just for MLD enquiries) and or a contact phone number.

What are my payment options?

You may select from one of the options below:

BSB Direct Credit - a BSB and account details will be provided - You will need these to make a payment at any NAB branch or via internet banking
Credit Card/PayPal - A secure payment made using own funds in a Paypal account or your credit card (your account / credit card details are NOT disclosed to MLD)

I'm interested what next?
1. Read & review the Code of conduct info, working conditions and safety section below
2. Complete and submit the MLD profile information form (if you have an image, great, if not just submit one separately via email).
3. MLD will check your details and (and assuming all ok) will send you a PayPal Invoice or BSB account details.
4. MLD will send you a private link to review and verify your model profile before it's published
5. Once you are happy with it your profile will be made public

Models Code of Conduct, Working Conditions & Safety

It is important to us that you understand the following terms and conditions which relate to your profile on Melbourne Life Drawing (MLD). If you have any questions, please contact us at info@melbournelifedrawing.com

1. Model Age: You MUST be at least 18 years old to list your profile with MLD. You must not attempt to apply for an MLD model profile if you are under 18 years old.

2. Model's Code of Conduct: The Life Model's code of conduct shall be used as a standard for all life models obtaining work through their MLD profile. By applying for an MLD profile you agree to abide by these guidelines to best of your ability so as not to discredit yourself or other models associated with this site or the Life Models Society. Complaints received about any models listed on MLD will be looked into and may result in your listing being suspended, investigated or removed entirely from this site.

3. Working Conditions: MLD has no control over who contacts models for work. MLD has disclosed on this site that anyone contacting a model directly implicitly agrees to provide standard life model working conditions currently applicable for LMS models (clearly listed on the site on the MODELS info page).

4. Privacy, Security Safety: If you have an unpleasant experience with any client (artist, institution or group) you have worked with or wishes to work with you, then it is your responsibility to contact MLD at info@melbournelifedrawing.com or mobile 0404 853 665 or the Life Models Society (email livingart@lifemodelssociety.org.au or call Adrian on 0422 409 946). MLD will keep a register of complaints and all models on this site will be notified of individuals or organisations about whom a complaint has been received.

5. Image/Copyright: You shall only submit images for which you have obtained proper permission or hold license for use of such image from the author or copyright owner of the work. This applies to both photographs of you as a model and or photographs of artworks depicting the you as a model.

6. Suspending your profile: If you wish to temporarily suspend your online profile with MLD, this can be arranged after receiving an email from you to info@melbournelifedrawing.com. Listings may be suspended (temporarily removed from the site) for up to 6 months max. When advised by you, MLD will reactivate your listing to pick up where you left off.

7. Limitation of Liability:
a) You acknowledge that you use this site at your own risk.
b) You acknowledge that MLD is not responsible for, and accepts no liability in relation to, your use of and conduct in connection with this site, or any other visitors use of or conduct in connection with the MLD in any circumstance.
c) To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all implied representations and warranties which, but for the MLD Terms, might apply in relation to your use of this site.
d) To the extent that our liability cannot be excluded by law, our maximum liability to you will be limited to the total amount paid by you (if any) for any chargeable service or feature on the MLD site purchased by you.
e) In no circumstances will we be liable for any indirect, punitive or consequential loss or damages; loss of income, profits, goodwill, data, contracts, use of money; or loss or damages arising from or in any way connected to business interruption of any type, whether in tort, contract or otherwise.
